Christmas, 2013
I spent three amazing weeks at home with my family, hiking in the countryside, drinking in the restorative fresh air, eating delicious food from pate to Portuguese pastries, reading, and enjoying each other's company. I hadn't spent much time with anyone since last Christmas. Our Aunt and cousin also came up from Tuscan.

New years always arrive with the promise of new beginnings. A new year with no mistakes in it. This year especially seems to me like a new beginning. Last year I spent at home applying for jobs, teaching in a small town in Hungary for awhile, then deciding I wanted to do something else. The rest of the year I spent at home again, applying for jobs. The last four months seem almost wasted in a monotony of online job searches, countless walks, and time whittled away on the internet. If I have any New Year's Resolution, it would be to not waste this coming year, but to make the most of my time. To find new and exciting opportunities.
