Training continues, as well as the search for an apartment. I got to go to a preschool with a few of Shane's teachers, although it's the end of their term, so all the students are currently doing is testing. But I learned more about games, drilling, songs and course content and hopefully I'll start teaching sometime next week.
I love the energy of Shanghai. Something's always happening on every street: traffic moving, electric scooters (some crammed with multiple people) zipping past with no regard for anyone's safety, guards in long coats letting cars into parking spaces and smoking cigarettes, pedestrians crowding the narrow sidewalks and sometimes spilling into the bicycle lanes, steam curling into the street from the many small hole-in-the-wall restaurants and vendors.
I sat and drew one such restaurant front and after sitting for about a minute, people began to stop and look at me drawing. A few minutes later, more people joined them until by the end I had a small entourage gathered around me,
